Occupants in the home reported the emergency. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according Baltimore County Fire Department Dispatch Communications. Embers and hot spots were still detected in the walls of the home after the initial fire was extinguished. Crews remained on the scene.
Units from Parkton, Monkton, Maryland Line, Reisterstown, Towson, Lutherville, Cockeysville, Butler, Jacksonville, Hampstead, Chestnut Ridge and Texas were among that stations that responded to the fire.
Three tanker trucks were on scene due to the lack of public-sourced water in the area. Firefighters stated that multiple units responded due to the lack of accessible water.
Update: Fire Dispatch Communications said on Sunday that it could take up to one week to determine the cause of the fire. “It was not apparent,” the department said.
