PA Park Rangers Have Heartfelt Message for Author of Suicide Note Left at Park: ‘We are here, we will listen, and WE DO CARE”

Lancaster County Park Rangers have a message for the person who left a note at a Pennsylvania state park on December 23: “We are here, we will listen, and WE DO CARE.”

On Friday, park rangers said they found the anonymous letter at Chickies Rock County Park in Lancaster County.

The rangers say that they hope their post reaches the author of the note that was signed “someone in York, PA.”

“We’re hoping this post may reach that person. We will gladly extend the helping hand that you asked for. There are so many resources available to those suffering. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Do not suffer in silence. Life WILL get better, but only if you let it. We are here, we will listen, and WE DO CARE.”

If you or someone you know is suffering, please call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or go to www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org.
